Europa League draw: Tottenham face Besiktas while Everton draw Lille and Wolfsburg in group stage

The UEFA Europa league draws took place at the Grimadi Forum in Monaco today.

Upon the arrival of UEFA General Secretary Gianni Ifantino, four different teams were picked from four pots to make a group thus ensuring that no two teams from the same country face each other.

Looking at the interesting fixtures from each group it is evident spectators will get spellbind as matches kick off in September 18.

Everton begins their first European campaign since 2009-2010; they will face Wolfsburg, Lille and FC Krasnodar in Group H.Roberto Martinez’s side were eliminated from the Champions League by FC Porto this week.

Spurs consistency in Europa League guarantees them a good faith as contenders. They are one of four English clubs to have lifted the UEFA Cup/Europa League (Liverpool, Ipswich, Chelsea). Spurs will face Besiktas in Group C.

Defending Champions Sevilla will play Standard Liege (Belgium), Feyenoord(Holland) and HNK Rijeka(Crotia) in Group G.

Will Spanish rule supreme once more?

This season’s winner will qualify for next year’s Champions League.
