Flamingoes Humiliate Namibia In U-17 World Cup Qualifier

Nigeria national U-17 women’s team, Flamingoes, humiliated Namibia 5-0 in the return leg of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifier on Friday.

After the first leg 4-0 defeat in Abuja, Mbakera accused his Nigerian counterpart of fielding overage players, insisting his team will shame their more illustrious opponents in Windhoek.

Patience Dike scored the first goal in the sixth minute before Cynthia Aku made it 2-0 in the 37th minute. Aku scored her second goal and Flamingoes third, netting just 10 minutes into the second half.

Rasheedat Ajibade got on the scored the fourth in the 70th minute, before Yetunde Fajobi secured the Flamingoes’ fifth goal.

The result meant that Nigeria defeated Namibia 9-0 on aggregate, and they will now face South Africa in the final round in March.
