The senator representing Kogi West senatorial district, Sen. Dino Melaye, has debunked a media report that he acquired three new bulletproof vehicles.
Sahara TV reported that Melaye acquired three Mercedes Benz G-Wagon cars at the cost of N150 million despite failing to account for N409 million allocated to his constituency in 2018.
But taking to his Twitter handle on Thursday afternoon, Melaye described the reports as a “lie”.
Melaye said he acquired his two bulletproof G-Wagon vehicles four and six years ago and not recently as alleged by Sahara TV.
He said, “Sahara liars again. My 2 bullet proof G Wagon cars I got 4 and 6 years ago respectively. Anyone who live in Abuja knows my white G Wagon. To lie that I just aquaired 3 new G Wagon is your heritage which is lying. Next time you lie don’t undervalue my properties. Kajikooo”
