James Brown, who gained prominence after his own arrest for reportedly attending a gay event in Lagos back in 2018, expressed his disapproval in a video posted on his Instagram account. He asserted that those implicated in the event should have adhered to the country’s legal framework and refrained from organizing a gay wedding.

The controversy arose when the group of suspected homosexuals was apprehended during the celebration of a same-sex wedding at a hotel located in Delta State. The subsequent parade of these individuals at the police headquarters in Asaba, Delta State, on Wednesday, August 29, not only attracted considerable attention on various social media platforms but also triggered a spectrum of reactions from both ordinary Nigerians and prominent figures.
