Jonathan Meets With PDP Leaders, Govs, Over Tambuwal

Ahead of his visit to Wadata House to pick his 2015 presidential nomination form today, President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday met with the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and some governors of the party at the presidential villa, Abuja.

Although details of the meeting was not disclosed, it was gathered that the meeting which also had the PDP national chairman, Alhaji Adamu Muazu in attendance was convened to discuss certain issues pertaining to today’s event which would mark the president’s official entry into the 2015 presidential race.

The president is also said to have discussed with the governors and leaders of the House of Representatives on the defection of Speaker of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal, to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Present at the meeting were Governors Godswill Akpabio (Akwa Ibom), Gabriel Suswam (Benue), Ibrahim Dankwambo (Gombe) and Sulivan Chime (Enugu).

Others who attended the meeting were deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Emeka Ihedioha, Secretary to Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim; Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mohammed Adoke, National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki.
