Man Who Missed His Flight Arrested For Running After Plane

A 23-year-old man, Patrick Kehoe has been arrested and charged to court for running after a plane that was about to take off after he missed his flight.

Kehoe missed his Ryanair flight to Amsterdam at Dublin Airport, Republic of Ireland on Thursday but attempted to prevent the plane from leaving without him.

The suspect reportedly broke through an airport door and ran out to the tarmac while waving at the plane to stop around 7am local time.

A witness, Declan Harvey was quoted by Associated Press as saying that he heard Kehoe shout “Wait!” at the departing plane.

Airport authorities said the “agitated” man “broke through a door and made his way onto the apron, trying to flag the aircraft down.”

He was restrained by Ryanair staff before he was handed over to airport police and charged to court.

At a brief appearance in a Dublin court, Kehoe was granted bail and his next court appearance fixed for November.
