Award-winning Nigerian singer, Davido has pledged to give a staff member of the Eko Hotels and Suites in Lagos, Kekwaaru Ngozi Mary, $10,000 after she returned a customer’s lost $70,000.
The musician and label owner made the pledge in a Sunday tweet.
Kekwaaru has been in the news since her honest action went public.
On Saturday, presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi said the hotel staff deserved a national honour.
Reacting to the news, Davido said, “Find her for me … I donate $10k.”
Mary informed the hotel management of the incident after finding the bag with the enormous amount of money.
The General Manager of the hotel immediately started the process of returning the money to its rightful owner in accordance with the establishment’s principle of integrity and transparency.
