N12bn fraud: EFCC declares Saraki’s ex-aide wanted

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared Abdul Adama, a former Personal Assistant to former Governor of Kwara State, Senator Bukola Saraki, wanted for money laundering and conspiracy.

The anti-graft agency made this known in a notice published on its website.

According to the EFCC notice, Adama served as Saraki’s PA between 2003 and May 29, 2011, during which period he signed for and laundered about N12 billion belonging to the Kwara State Government.

The EFCC said that the suspect jumped administrative bail granted to him by the agency and has remained incommunicado ever since.

The EFCC urged anyone with useful information about the suspect’s whereabouts to furnish the agency with it.
