President Goodluck Jonathan has said that under his watch as President, he will make sure that no Nigerian is ever discriminated against on the basis of religion, ethnicity or social standing.

Jonathan in his Facebook post to facilitate with Muslims on the celebration of Eid el Maulud said “I assure Muslims and other Nigerians that this administration will continue to be guided by the ideals of fairness, equity and justice for all in its leadership of the country.

“Under my watch as President, no Nigerian will ever be discriminated against on the basis of religion, ethnicity or social standing.”

He urged Nigerians to reflect on the teachings of Prophet Mohammed; he said “All Nigerians must seize the opportunity of Eid-el-Maulud to deeply reflect on the need for greater application of Prophet Mohammed’s teachings which border on piety, charity, tolerance, justice and peaceful co-existence with others in the collective effort to overcome current national challenges.”

He also reassured Nigerians that the federal government will do all within its powers to ensure that the general elections in February are credible and violence-free.
