The All Share Index of the Nigerian Stock Exchange ended the week on a positive note appreciating by 0.44% to close at 29,878.33 basis points, with the Market Capitalization closing at N10.24 trillion.
The total value of transactions reduced by 6.33%; from 5,282,039,111.47 to 4,947,809,141.87 shares, the number of deals recorded also increased by 10.69%. Transaction volume reduced by 87.97%.
The Insurance, Oil and Gas and Banking indexes ended the day in the red, while the LOTUS, NSE 30, Industrial and Consumer Goods index ended the day in the green as the ASEM Index remained unchanged.
ZENITHBANK was the most actively traded stock by volume on the floor today, ACCESS, UBA, FBNH and GUARANTY completed the list of the five most actively traded stock on the exchange today.
Market breadth closed in the negative as NESTLE led 16 Gainers against 27 Losers led by NB.
Year-To-Date stands at -13.79%.
