This compelling picture shows the troubled face of a little girl not more than 5 years old. She is visibly distressed after Boko Haram members attacked the church service which her family attended in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State on Friday.
The terrorists stormed the church around 8:30 pm whilst the worshippers were beginning a vigil service.
“On entering the church, the attackers started shooting sporadically, killing many people, including the pastor.
“In the ensuing confusion, many residents ran in all directions for safety, while the attackers continued to unleash terror on innocent citizens. The town is now deserted as many are fleeing.”
The attacks were said to have occurred several hours after the Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Ahmadu Fintiri had visited the area.
