Who is Safe?

2 Min Read

Who is safe?

From the fangs of these deadly merchants

Bearing goods from the pit of Hades

Painting the streets red with the blood of our kin

Witincessantblasts like a hook on repeat

The nation is in pain, our people in agony

Because these cowards sold themselves to a devilish delight

Death became lord of their souls

Exchanging their sanity with satisfaction of horror

Or what elseexplains their acts so heinous

The lives of fellow men doesn’t worth a dime

They are demons veiled by soulless epidermis

From their hell ordered agenda

Who is safe?

Our folks are daily being snatched from our embrace

Ferried on a crimson ocean to the great beyond

Our loved ones like wax are melted by flames of agony

Family are thrown into inconsolable chaos

Endless mourning became daily routine of embittered souls

Yet the serpentine allies keep biting at our heels

Who is safe?

Once boisterous streets are turned desert lands

Peace became a fading memory in the corners

Any loud noise sends shivers down your spines

Anxiety of the next blast becomes a bosom friend

You rethink before visiting your regular spots

Any venue is home to these sons of perdition

Who is safe?

Let our leaders wake from their slumber

Stop voicing political and religious agenda

We all are NIGERIANS, this evil attacks us all

Our government should be proactive and not reactive

Stamping out the flames of this venomous menace

If it is allowed to rampage on unchecked

Who is safe?

We want our nation back

We want our lives back

We want our girls back

We want an end to this siege

We want an end to BokoHaram

We want to stop asking ourselves

Who is Safe?
