Saraki Urges Nigerians to Expect Transformational Economic Policies in 2016

Senate President Bukola Saraki has said that Nigerians should expect transformational economic policies that will improve the situation of the country in 2016.

Saraki said this during a special prayer to mark his 53rd birthday in Ilorin.

The senate president insisted that President Muhammadu Buhari administration is committed to making life bearable for Nigerian masses.

He said Nigerians should be rest assured that the All Progressives Congress led government is committed to formulating economic policies that will be beneficial to all.

He urged Nigerians to exercise patience with Buhari administration.

He emphasised that the administration is focused on the social economic development of the nation.

While speaking with newsmen, he said the day doesn’t call for any celebration because of the present global economic challenges.

He said “As I said, the general challenging situation globally, in the country, and in the states did not allow for celebration. We have great challenges ahead as a country. So, we have to dedicate ourselves to improving the situation for the common good.”

According to Saraki, more than ever, the legislature is committed to achieving our collective goals as a nation.

He thanked the people of Kwara state for their support ever since his emergence as Senate President.

Saraki vehemently promised that he would not disappoint them and Nigerians.

The special prayer, which was led by the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Shaykh Mohammed Bashir, also had in attendance the popular Islamic cleric, Shaykh Al-Misklin Onikijipa, as well as Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, Speaker, Kwara House, Dr. Ali Ahmad, Senator Dino Melaye, and some members of National and Kwara state House of Assembly.
