The advent of social media has made it so that people in high places have to be very careful as to what they say or do.
Dino Melaye who was applauded by most for his largesse to the church on Sunday and his humility in praying and rolling on the ground has come into hot water over certain comments he made as regards rape.
During the second reading of the Bill which addresses the prohibition of Sexual Harassment of students in Tertiary Education Institutions, Dino Melaye committed a faux pax when he was credited with saying that the prevention of Sexual Harassment is both sided and that females should also be cautioned ’cause not all of us have the anointing to resist’. Nigerian Twitter cried foul at this as it was perceived as a potential excuse for predators and was perhaps a defense of their actions by Melaye.
