There were reports that the former president declared his presidential interest, but he has come out to deny this.
Vanguard reports that Ikechuwkwu Eze who is the media aide to Jonathan has stated that the report was false.
He said the former president never made any declaration on the 2019 election.
Jonathan became the first sitting president to be defeated in an election in 2015.
He has also been praised by many for handing over to Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) without contesting the result in court.
