All Share Index Bounces Back, Posts 0.16% Gain

The Nigerian Equities market bounced back from a loss yesterday, despite the commencement of the Treasury Single Account directive by government, to post a 0.16% gain, moving up by 47 basis points to end the day on 30,359.47 basis points. Market Capitalization for the market at the close of trading today was N10.43 trillion.

The total number of deals recorded on the floor reduced by 18.91%, while the total volume of shares traded on the floor reduced by 58.96% from yesterday. The value of transactions also dipped by 39.94%

The top five most actively traded shares on the exchange today were FBNH, UBCAP, UNITYBNK, GUARANTY and TRANSCORP who led the activity chart with a combined total of 86 million shares traded.

Market breadth closed positive as TOTAL led 26 Gainers against 20 Losers led by GUINNESS.

Year-To-Date currently stands at -12.40%.
