The Nigerian Equities market posted a 0.17% gain, moving up by 51.86 basis points to end the day on 30,410.39 basis points. Market Capitalization for the market at the close of trading today was N10.45 trillion.
The total number of deals recorded on the floor reduced by 13.13% a slight improvement from the 18.91% dip recorded yesterday, while the total volume of shares traded on the floor increased by 24.75% an improvement from the reduction of 58.96% recorded yesterday. The value of transactions also increased by 92.35% after dipping by 39.94% yesterday.
The top five most actively traded shares on the exchange today were CUSTODYINS, ACCESS, FBNH, UACN and ZENITHBANK, leading the activity chart with a combined total of 126 million shares, accounting for more than half of the shares traded.
Market breadth closed positive as JBERGER led 23 Gainers against 19 Losers led by WAPCO.
Year-To-Date currently stands at -12.25%.
