A member of the National Assembly, Babajide Omoworare has describe the sudden split in the ranks of the ruling People’s Democratic Party as a laughable situation.

Omoworare advised the members that the leadership crisis currently rocking the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) is a pointer to the need for them to join the All Progressive Congress (APC).

This he stated in a statement made available to the press through his media aide, Olatunde Dairo.

According to him, “it is however laughable that a party that boasts of a solid and cohesive bond can split suddenly.

He advised the breakaway faction against dissipating their energy on the carcasses of the party, but “should join All Progressives Congress (APC) for betterment of the country”.

“I enjoin the breakaway faction, if truly they seek the good of the Nigeria, not to dissipate their energy battling over the carcass of PDP” Omoworare said, describing PDP as a political party of yesterday.

He also noted that the political development in PDP is not a surprise, but laughable.

“It is also ironical that the PDP that was wishing the APC a fatal end has met its waterloo and headed for the rock. The declaration by section of the party taking over and polarising it is a testimony to the fact that nothing is sacrosanct, especially in a party that is not built on a progressive principle and interest.

“The PDP boasts running for 50 years, but unfortunately, has not done half of its wishful target before being bedeviled by selfishness and inordinate ambition that should concern the electorate”, he teased.

“The APC has its door widely open to welcome all that are interested in changing Nigeria for the better, where jobs will be provided for the youths and corruption will be a thing of the past among other laudable manifesto of the party” he advised.

He affirmed that the PDP administration headed by Dr. Goodluck Jonathan has run dry of creativity and has therefore resorted to all forms of intimidation to browbeat everyone into line, even the party members.
